An online photographic archive of violin, viola and cello bridges. We now have 1025 bridges with their measurements uploaded from some of the finest makers, restorers and dealers of our time, spanning 27 countries. To start viewing the archive click here.

We are constantly updating and adding to the archive, and are looking for more bridges to photograph, measure and weigh. If you have any we would be pleased to add them.

Unfortunately we are unable to add pictures sent via e-mail. However we will be happy to return bridges sent to us.

Several bridges in the archive have missing or unknown(to us!) data fields. You may be able to help us update them. We welcome your input.

We have also a growing static collection which we intend, in the future to make available to violin making schools and colleges, if you would like to donate your bridges to this collection please contact us.

We have a Reference section, with useful articles, images, measurements and downloadable template curves, and a Bridge Analysis Page- Showing Averages from the database.
