In 1848, trumpet maker Heinrich Dick established a dealership for brass instruments in Markneukirchen (Saxony) which was expanded into a prospering manufacturing and exporting company for musical instruments and accessories by his son Heinrich Hermann. In 1945, Günther Dick established a new company in the village of Metten in Lower Bavaria which enjoyed similar successes manufacturing and distributing materials for violinmaking and special tools. His son, Heinrich Dick assumed leadership of the company and expanded its product range together with his brother Dr. Rudolf Dick by adding high-quality tools. Since Heinrich Dick’s departure from the successful, internationally orientated company in 2004, operations have continued under the guidance of the Petra Steinberger and Dr. Ing. Rudolf Dick.
